Office for Mac brings new background themes for the Focus mode to Insiders in Slow Ring

Dell finally introduces a convertible XPS 13

Dell’s recent XPS devices are definitely one of the prettiest laptops you can get right now. The company’s Edge-to-Edge displays are simply beautiful looking, but there’s been a missing feature in the company’s XPS device — and that, of course, is the fact it isn’t a 2-in-1 device. Exclusive: Windows 10 Creators Update set to be released on April 2017

Last October at the Windows 10 event in New York City, Microsoft officially unveiled the Windows 10 Creators Update, codenamed “Redstone 2.” At the event, Microsoft stated that the update will be released in “early 2017” but we didn’t know when exactly the update will arrive. Until now, anyway. Per my sources, Microsoft will be releasing the Windows 10 Creators Update this April. While the update initially had a version number of 1703 in Insider Builds leading to speculation that it would be released in March 2017, we can reveal that the final version number will actually be 1704 for an April release. This is not the first time that Microsoft has changed version numbers in Insider Preview releases, the firm previously changed the Xbox’s Aiversary Update release number from 1607 to 1608 last year. Viber adds end to end encryption to Windows Desktop, yet to be released Windows 10 app

Hot on the heels of WhatsApp, Viber has now enabled end to end encryption across the board on most of its mobile and desktop apps.

Post Apple’s war with the FBI, much of the tech industry is now working to create more secure encryption that puts the data of their users out of their hands, and as a result makes them more attractive to users.

Telegram has long since staked its claim on being a secure messaging app, and WhatsApp quickly followed after Apple v FBI. Now, Viber has just launched Viber 6.0 cross platform, enabling end-to-end encryption, secret chats and more.

Unfortunately, the update will not be coming to Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 devices, rather those devices will be able to use the current Viber app – relatively insecure as it is.

Viber 6.0 for Windows desktop supports end to end encryption, dragging and dropping of pictures, and other files. You can now also share contacts directly from Viber to other apps.

Viber also indicates that the upcoming Windows 10 app will support end-to-end encryption which should be great for Windows users. Seeing as Viber for Windows 10 was aounced over a year ago, it would be embarrassing for them if they couldn’t do at least that much.

Opera says no major updates are plaed for their Windows Phone app in the next few months

Opera first released their stable version of Opera Mini for Windows Phone in June 2015 and since then they have released minor updates every now and then to improve the overall experience. Today, they aounced that they have no major updates are plaed for the next few months. Basically, the project will be on hold. Opera will review the platform later this year to decide on further development.

They also confirmed that they don’t have enough resource in bringing out an universal Windows app. Even though they considered porting Opera Mini iOS using Windows Bridge for iOS, it was not possible due to tech limitations. Microsoft releases new updates for 4G LTE Surface 3 devices

Microsoft recently released new updates for 4G LTE Surface 3 devices for AT&T, non-AT&T, and Verizon carriers. This update improves mobile broadband network stability and includes an Intel Corporation driver update for Surface IA7260 Firmware Update.

This update is available only for Surface 3 (AT&T 4G LTE) and Surface 3 (4G LTE) in North America (non-AT&T):
